Lodge And Learn Training at Puptown Houston Dog Training
Your dog will enjoy going out on different vacations to parks, stores, participating in training classes, and much more. Our Lodge & Learn programs teach real world skills to dogs, not just how to sit. We believe learning should be versatile and happen in different environments with different distractions, not in a sterile training room. We offer three predefined lodge and learn courses. These programs range from basic to advanced, however we do offer custom lodge and learn programs based upon your dogs needs. Lodge & Learn
MotivatedDog
- Our Lodge & Learn Motivated Dog program will teach your dog basic obedience, manners, and training around the house and yard. We will cover basic behavior issues such as counter surfing, trashcan rummaging, and jumping. This program is on leash. Our training facility is located in Houston, TX.

Your precious pup will also learn basic obedience which will include:
- Recall (up to 10ft away)
- Loose leash walking
- Yes and no markers
- Down on the first command
- Stay
- Calm down
- Climb command
- Release marker
To ensure your dogs highest enrichment and learning process your dog will spend all day with our trainers to learn and play all day. This program takes approximately 10 days to complete. This program includes 2 follow up lessons, one at the time of pick-up and one lesson after. All of our programs include our performance guarantee! Which means you don’t have to worry about your dog regressing from the training we have provided.
Lodge & Learn
AdvancedDog
- Our Lodge & Learn Advanced Dog program includes everything taught in our Motivated Dog program including obedience and house manners, with a few more commands. This program is taught around the house, yard, stores, and parks. This program is off-leash, and dogs travel to different places in the Houston area for training.

- Recall (up to 25ft away)
- Loose leash walking
- Off leash heeling
- Automatic Sits
- Yes and no markers
- Down on the first command
- Sit on the first command
- Slow and fast leash walking
- Stay
- Quiet
- Leave it
- Climb
- Release marker
- Riding calmly in a car
- Jumping up
- Off/leave it
- Play biting
- Boundary training
To ensure your dogs highest enrichment and learning process your dog will spend all day with our trainers to learn and play all day. This program takes approximately 3 weeks to complete. This program includes 4 follow up lessons, one at the time of pick-up and one lesson each week after for 3 weeks.
Lodge & Learn
UltimateDog
- Our Lodge & Learn Ultimate Dog program includes everything taught in our basic and skilled programs (obedience, house manners, public access and off leash training) plus some advanced training and behavior modification. This program includes public access training, which means our trainers will take your pooch to parks, trails, lakes, stores, daycare, and any where else they can go all around Houston, TX!

- Heeling with automatic sits on leash and off leash

To ensure your dogs highest enrichment and learning process your dog will spend all day with our trainers to learn and play all day. This program takes a minimum of six weeks to complete and varies dependent on your dogs behavior and your needs. This program includes 4 follow up lessons, one at the time of pick-up and one lesson each week after for 3 weeks.
